Growing up in a wine country area of California, I appreciate the vineyards and those caring for the grapes. \u00a0Everything must be perfect for a good harvest. \u00a0The soil, rain, temperatures, and age of each vine determine the quality of wine–or in this case, champagne. \u00a0I felt as if I were back home again in California. \u00a0I smiled just seeing the rows of vines and breathing in the air as we drove through this region of France. \u00a0My favorite, Mailly has vineyards all around but those within distance of the windmill are central to their champagne. \u00a0I feel blessed to be here. \u00a0Just 90 minutes from Paris, the energy of the city is replaced with the centeredness of nature. \u00a0Seasons are necessary for the growth of grape vines. \u00a0Autumn symbolizes the time in my own life–the harvest is over yet the colors of the leaves hold their own beauty. \u00a0Only God knows what’s next. \u00a0Just like the vines, I cannot control the time of the year. \u00a0So now, I just need to be still and allow Him to continue working in my life. \u00a0It is God who finishes it to completion.<\/p>\n

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, \u00a0“There is a time for everything,\u00a0and a season for every activity under the heavens: \u00a0a time to be born and a time to die,\u00a0a time to plant and a time to uproot,\u00a0a time to kill and a time to heal,\u00a0a time to tear down and a time to build,\u00a0a time to weep and a time to laugh,\u00a0a time to mourn and a time to dance,\u00a0a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,\u00a0a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,\u00a0a time to search and a time to give up,\u00a0a time to keep and a time to throw away,\u00a0a time to tear and a time to mend,\u00a0a time to be silent and a time to speak,\u00a0a time to love and a time to hate,a time for war and a time for peace.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I wait upon the Lord. \u00a0He created me and…He created time. \u00a0This scripture says it all. \u00a0It is easy to want one part of “time” and reject the other, but there is a balance. \u00a0There is a time for everything.<\/p>\n

Lord, help me to “let go” and allow you to reveal exactly what “time” it is in my life. \u00a0Lead me in your way, your time, your purpose.<\/p>\n
